Another "cloud" homework, this time from John. He says this is "inspired by Edmond-de-Schampheleer 1920, about A4 size and in oils" he adds "when the computer magnifies a part of the picture it has a lot of detail which makes me think that the original is quite a big picture". I think this makes a great subject for the clouds homework and John's expressive brushwork adds to the drama of the piece.

ReplyDeleteWonderful clouds billowing overhead. A bit like the ones I had yesterday on my walk along a bridlepath rediscovering some footsteps of my childhood. There were short, sharp showers carried in clouds like the ones in this painting. A great contribution. Thank you John!
