MAY 2020 (6)

Yet another different medium, this is a digital picture by Bob, using Procreate.  He says he is a fan of David Hockney and is reading one of his books at the moment.  Apparently "he moved over to using digital painting for his theatre work and produced some lovely sets for operas at Glyndebourne as well as some woodland views of the Yorkshire Wolds".

"From Clee to Heaven the Deacon Burns,
The shires they see it plain."

The title Bob has given the painting is from a poem by A E Houseman.  Bob says "They lit the beacons to celebrate Queen Victoria's 50 years on the throne.  Lockdown has got me reading excessively I fear".  No need to apologise Bob, we love your digital paintings and the extra information adds to the enjoyment.  Keep them coming.

  1. Very good image, clever. And the poet is very good as well. My Shropshire Lad Roses on full bloom on the front of the house, but too tricky to paint. Eva
