AUGUST 2020 (5)

8

Thank you for sending this beautiful watercolour Bob, he writes:-

"The happy highways where I went,” Eva will recognise the quotation and read the sad ending. My happiest memories are derived from walking over the mountains of Wales, England, and Scotland.
This is a watercolour of a flock of oystercatchers lifting off from the shore of Morecambe Bay with the outlying hills of the Lake District in the background."

Many memories are bitter sweet, Bob.

Eva has sent everyone details of the next meeting which is at John's garden on 17th August at 10.30.
John says, "The 17th. Would be fine for as many as would like to come.
Mayfield is almost opposite the village hall, set back further than the older houses. There is good parking at the hall.
We should be glad to provide coffee, ours or your own mugs.
Easy access loo. Six completely isolated places out of the rain with a view of something."

  1. A lovely painting especially in watercolour which isn’t the easiest medium. It’s lovely watching these birds anytime. Well done. Rose
