An email from John, asking a question, "I make simple frames out of picture rail. What colour would you advise please?
Cathy said the original was by a lady impressionist. Anne likes it. I am not so sure."
This is my reply, "I really like the simplicity of it as it is. It does not detract from the painting in any way, can you just seal or varnish the frame?
Anyone else have any suggestions?

Just checked, it is by Berthe Morisot and is titled "In The Garden". At least one of her other paintings features the same women...there's one called "A Summer's Day" where they're in a boat, wearing the same clothes.
