An email arrived from John today, he says, "Not an actual copy, but inspired by. Indian ink and yellow ink. Heron looks more like a stork! Not so much art. Gardening and caring."

Thank you for sending this John, Steve and I both like it and we think it does look like a heron! Finding time for art when other things cry out for attention is difficult and this year the weather has meant mountains of weeds. I have only just finished the attached painting that I started in early 2020! Oil on board. I hope that Anne is feeling a little better.
