I see from the email that Larry sent me this three days ago, so apologies for the delay in posting, the time just seems to disappear at the moment. Larry says, "This is the painting that I started at the groups meeting last Monday. It is a view, southwest, across Garreg-ddu Reservoir in the Elan Valley. Based on a photograph that I took on one of our many cycling trips around the estate. It is well worth a visit if you have not been and we can highly recommend the Penbont House for a light lunch, afternoon tea or just coffee and cake."

I love this one Larry, you have caught the light perfectly, very well done.
Our meetings are held in the Little Hereford Village Hall every first and third Monday of the month commencing at 10.00 and finishing at around 14.00. Meetings falling on a public or bank holiday are dependent on the number of members wishing to attend. Check this blog or telephone Eva Thomas on 01584 711513 for specific information.
Meetings can be led by a group member or visiting artist but generally members just meet to paint and gain inspiration and ideas from the work of other members. Sometimes we will paint outside in the countryside around the village hall, the beautiful church of St Mary Magdalene or the banks of the River Teme, all within a short walking distance. Burford House Gardens is another local venue and is a very short drive away.
There is no society to join or financial commitment, you just turn up on the day and pay when you arrive (currently £3, including coffee). We have close links to Ludlow Art Society and Orleton Art Group, many are members of more than one, some of all three!
If you would like to add any copies of your recent art work or interesting articles you would like to share, please let me know and I will include them. Similarly if you would like more information about any of the posts on this blog I can be contacted on 0333 011 6238 Jean Simnett

Terrific picture, Larry.
